Artist’s Statement

The human form is just about related to everything. In developing Oakwilde Ranch And Sculpture Park in the Sierra foothills, I play with large sizes, volumes of color, big loads of demanding shadow and intricate lines given by the trees, contours of hills and clouds freed from urban obscurity.

With art it all comes back home to my understanding, to my reality of perception and the play I experience with my whole body.

Yoga poses and stone carvings? Together? Sure, both attempting to be alive by being still, in perfect pose, present at the moment in time, but letting me know about the surrounding infinity.
