About the Artist

Ron Seff’s day job is NeuroPsychiatrist. By night he tends to review the work he did during the day from as different a perspective as possible. During the day he might try to make sense out of what seems to be the chaos of psychotic thought. At night the challenge becomes reinstating some of the randomness and disorder to the sense he thought he had imposed during the day.

“Always leave things the way you find them,” his mom used to say.

This drawing started as four randomly chosen faces, eliminating the eyes that are more inclined to give away what thoughts and feelings lay underneath. The text was added as a composite of many years worth of Psychiatric notes. It then transitions into the thoughts that may have produced the  chaotic ramblings of the individuals who expressed them.

Hopefully, it is random enough that the viewer can impose whatever meaning he or she wishes.
